'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bodde: 'I'm 100% Fit'

Ferrie Bodde says he's 100% fit ahead of tomorrow's tough home match against Sheffield United.

The Dutch midfielder has only recently returned from a knee ligament injury that he picked up in November 2008.

His first game in 10 months was in a Reserves game against Swindon Town and he also came on as a substitute in the recent 0-0 draw at home to Bristol City.

The 27 year-old is now looking to start his first game of the season, and he told the Evening Post:

'I'm happy that I can play some part in the squad, we're slowly building up and my leg feels fantastic,'

'I'm 100 per cent fit, but you have to get used to playing again and get used to the system.

'My target is first to get 90 minutes under my belt. Of course I want to score goals, but the most important thing is to get some wins no matter who scores.'

Ferrie Bodde is likely to be on the bench again tomorrow as he gradually gets more involved in League games.

Ahead of tomorrow's game, he said:

'Tomorrow we have a very strong side against us although football-wise we are better,'

'We have to trust ourselves and have confidence that we can prove that on the pitch. We are a footballing team. We are not the biggest, but we have a lot of good players.

'They rely more on set-pieces so we have to be aware of that and be strong and confident.

'I think our football will pose problems for them because if you are a big guy you're never the fastest.

'We have to move a lot, touch the ball only one or two times and then try to find the net.'
