Trundle Could Start Ahead Of Beattie

The Evening Post are reporting that Lee Trundle could be given his first start today at Preston, as Craig Beattie is struggling with a chest infection.

The record 500,000 signing from West Brom has missed a few training sessions recently, and the scouser could start his first game since returning to Swansea on loan.

18 year-old defender Jazz Richards could also make his debut, replacing Matty Collins at right back at Deepdale today.

Paulo Sousa that Lee Trundle has impressed him in training:

'He has made a very good impression,'

'He tries very hard to impress me and his colleagues and he has a lot of commitment. He is someone we trust to help us and I hope he will score goals.

'When he came on in the last game he had one chance to score. I hope this weekend he will have more chances and he will score.'
