'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Van Der Gun Deal Imminent Claims Agent

Cedric Van Der Gun was given a tour around the club facilities last night as well as undergoing a medical as both parties continued contract negotiations.

It is thought that the Swans Initial contract offer has been improved and that a deal is very close to being completed.

The players agent Karel Jansen claims that talks between club and player are in very advanced stages and that he could be unveiled as a Swansea city player as soon as this afternoon.

Jansen told The Western Mail.

"We are still talking and we had a good meeting yesterday".

"You never know what can happen in football, but it looks positive. I am hopeful the deal can be concluded.

"We are much closer to reaching a deal and Swansea are the club we are focusing on.

"There have been other interested clubs, but Swansea are the only one we are talking to now.

"Cedric has been shown around the club and the training ground and he really liked what he saw.

"He also had a good conversation with the manager and liked what he had to say. The whole day was very positive.

"You can always encounter problems in football so we have to wait until the contract is signed. But it looks good at the moment."

With a deal looking more and more likely it could only be a matter of time before Cedric Van Der Gun is wearing the black and white of Swansea City.
