Swansea City Sign 16 Year-Old Striker

Swansea City have signed 16 year-old Swansea-born striker Thomas Gregg Lopes Da Silva.

The youngster has signed as a scholar and will play for the Under-18s for the next two seasons.

Da Silva was born in Swansea but brought up in Portugal where he played for CF Estrela da Amadora.

At the age of 14, he moved on to join Sporting Clube de Portugal, Paulo Sousa's former club, who fought off competition from Benfica and Porto for his services.

He was released this Summer and after joining the Swans he said:

'I am delighted to have signed for the club,'

'It is a really good opportunity for me and I can't wait to get started.'
