Swansea City Reject New Bodde Bid From Wigan

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has rejected a new and improved bid from Wigan Athletic for midfielder Ferrie Bodde.

Former manager Roberto Martinez made his first bid for the Dutchman a fortnight ago but it came nowhere near our £5m valuation.

Jenkins explained to the Official Site the revised bid:

'The terms of the payment have improved,''

'But our stance on Ferrie remains the same and the offer has been rejected.

'Ferrie is edging closer to full fitness and we are all looking forward to seeing him pulling on a Swansea shirt again and bolstering Paulo Sousa's squad.''

Bodde is expected to make a return for the Reserve team on Wednesday September 9th when we take on Swindon Reserves at the Gnoll, Neath. Kick off is at 2pm.

Funny really as the Wigan fans dont seem to want anyone else from Swansea, as so far no-one that they have taken from us have performed. Just see thier version of this same article. http://www.wigan.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=168585
