Swansea City Sign Van Der Gun?

According to popular Dutch website Voetbal International, Swansea City look set to sign left winger Cedric van der Gun.

The 30 year-old, available on a free transfer after leaving FC Utrecht has been linked with a move to the Liberty Stadium recently and the VI website reported this evening:

[translated]'Cedric van der Gun is about to sign a contract with Swansea City.

Swansea City also have a Dutch co-owner, John Van Zweden, he told Voetbal International: 'As it stands now Cedric sign a contract with us this week and will debut in the next game against Preston North End.'

Van der Gun is a free transfer to England. The attacker had an interview with FC Twente, but it came to nothing.

Van Der Gun started his career with Ajax before having spells with Ado Den Haag and Borussia Dortmund. He scored 17 goals in 51 games for his previous club, FC Utrecht. Last season he netted 10 goals in 21 games.

"Van Der Gun is a winger who also can play as an attacking midfielder. He was one of the best players in Holland last season! His technique is brilliant to watch! Let's hope he will sign! He will be the best summer signing mark my words!"

He looks impressive from the videos on youtube but i dont think we will play him as a striker(more of a winger).
