Beattie Fee Worth £800,000 To West Brom

Beattie Fee Worth £800,000 To West Brom

Swansea City will pay West Brom £500,000 up front plus another £300,000 in performance-related add-ons for striker Craig Beattie.

The Baggies have also inserted a 20% sell-on clause in the deal.

The transfer breaks Swansea City's existing record fee paid of £400,000, which we spent on Nathan Dyer and Ashley Williams respectively.

The 25 year-old is expected to go straight into Paulo Sousa's side tomorrow as we face Watford at the Liberty Stadium. Loan signing Lee Trundle will also be included somewhere in the matchday squad.

Beattie scored a brace in West Brom's Carling Cup second round win against Rotherham in midweek, beating the Millers 4-3 after extra time. The 25 year-old scored an excellent second goal from 20 yards, firing a shot into the top corner.

Ye even though he has premiership experience. We could have got someone else for better money but hopefully he'll prove me wrong!

Well if the performance related add-ons include promotion or 20 goals in a season then its not too bad.
