Bodde To Return For Reserves Within 2 Weeks

Paulo Sousa says Ferrie Bodde will be back in Reserves action on September 9th, as he finally makes a return from the knee ligament injuy he suffered in November.

He'll be back in action for Swansea Reserves according to Paulo Sousa when they Swindon Reserves at the Gnoll, Neath. Kick off time is 2pm on September 9th.

Despite being out of action for nearly 10 months, Bodde's future at Swansea City has still been in doubt following failed bids from Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic.

The Dutch midfielder will be staying at the Liberty Stadium until January at least and he'll give us a massive boost when he's back in the first team.

After tomorrow's game at home to Watford, the Swans have a 2-week international break and by then Joe Allen will be available and Bodde will gaining fitness.

Stephen Dobbie, Darren Pratley and Tom Butler should also be back before the end of September. By September 19th when we play Bristol City, Paulo Sousa should have a nearly fully fit squad to choose from as the suspended players also return, providing their bans don't get extended.

Sousa told Wales Online:

,i>"We need to bring in new players, though, especially when you lose three players like that. We don`t know if they will get longer suspensions, but we know the minimum and that period will be difficult for us.

"If you can win before the international break, it can give us good confidence. It will come at a good time for us because we can recover some players and in September we will get a number of players back.

"Joe Allen will be available again, Ferrie will play for the reserves on September 9 and both Darren Pratley and Tom Butler should be back at the end of the month. I hope Stephen Dobbie will be back too.

"It`s really important we get three points against Saturday. There are a lot of difficulties with this game, but we will be very happy if we can get the win."
