67% Say We Need 3 New Signings

In a recent site poll, the majority have voted that we need 3 new signings.

Swansea City fans have shown a keen desire for the club to strengthen the squad before the end of the transfer window but both chairman Huw Jenkins and manager Paulo Sousa have said it's been difficult signing players due to their wage demands.

We operate a strict wage budget, one that the board aren't willing to compromise to bring in new players.

The Swans however have signed one player recently, 21 year-old Austrian attacker Besian Idrizaj, but most of the fans still want two new faces before the end of the month.

Free agent and former Sheffield United striker Danny Webber has been offered a contract with us and he's considering his options while Norwich City midfielder Wes Hoolahan has also been linked with a move. There's also been reports that we've tabled a £350,000 bid for Leyton Orient defender Mkandawire.

In the poll, 3% voted we don't need new signings, 0% voted we need 1, 9% think we need 2 and the remaining 21% want to see 4 or more new players.

I agree with that, Webber and Hoolahan now this week would be brilliant, but I doubt it's going to happen

Sometimes players can be too selfish. In this case, if we get promoted then you get the money. If sides arent willing to get paid the same amounts as Mark Gower, Alan tate, Ferrie Bodde etc. then theres no point having them on board coz its the money they want not the passion. Dyer made the move because in his own words "I'm fallin in love with this town," so he sees the big picture im sure. I sympathize with Paolo though it does seem as if even he doesn't agree with the structure of the bill at times. And with the new youth structure on the way, more money is being filtered away from player wages on the long-term. So i doubt theres much he can say to change the boards mind. Lets just hope we find a players with hearts on their sleeves who want to play well and keep their heads down.
