Coleman: We Could Have Got A Draw

Chris Coleman said his side could have got a draw in today's 1-0 defeat against Swansea City.

Ashley Williams' second half goal was enough to give Swansea City their first League win of the season, and ended Coventry's undefeated startto the campaign.

Former Swan, Chris Coleman said:

'We could have got a draw but I don't think we deserved to win it. I am not going to blame it on the penalty. None of us expected him to miss but it happens in football - the best players in the world do it.

'Swansea are a good side but just as we did in midweek, we ended up playing on the back foot.

'We can better than that and I want to see a reaction at Blackpool next week.'

'We didn't lose the game because of the penalty. If we had been on the front foot in this game, we would have got a result.

'That is no disrespect to Swansea because they play good football and have a good manager but we can be better than that. That's our fifth game in 13 days so there is maybe a bit of fatigue creeping in but I am not going to make excuses.

'We had one or two under-performing so we hope to have another face in early next week to put a bit of pressure on.'

Played Coventry off the park at times so don't agree with Chrissy Coleman, their pen was very dubious anyway and we definitely deserved the win. Swanlady2

the penalty looked very unlucky on the highlights and from what i heard they didn't really trouble us so the only way they would have got a draw is if they scored a penalty they didn't deserve, at that point we were the better side
