Tate: Webber Would Be A Brilliant Signing

Alan Tate is hoping to see some new players at the club and believes Danny Webber would be a brilliant signing.

The former Sheffield United striker is considering his options and is mulling over a move to the Liberty Stadium.

Defender Alan Tate is hoping to see some new arrivals this month to strengthen the squad, he told the Evening Post:

'As players we would like to see signings, of course we would,'

'We all want to see the squad strengthened because it means we will be better off during the season.

'I heard about Webbs,'

'He is a good player who would be brilliant if he came in.

'He is sharp and is a good finisher, but we players can't do anything about all that. It's up to the manager to bring in who he wants.'

'I would encourage players to come here, definitely,'

'This is a stable club, whereas you look at the biggest club in the league, Newcastle, and they are the most unstable.

'That is important. I think if you want to come here and improve you will do well because the club will give you the chance to do it.

'No-one is going to get on your back quickly if you come here.'
