Swansea City Linked With £350,000 Defender Bid
Swansea City have been linked with a £350,000 bid for Leyton Orient defender Tamika Mkandawire.
Today's Daily Mail are reporting that we've made a bid for the 26 year-old, who was linked with the Swans last month.
The 26 year-old has proved to be one of best defenders in the lower divisions and a number of scouts watched him last season.
The Malawi-born player began his career at West Brom before joining Hereford in 2004 where he spent 4 years with the League 2 club.
While Huw Jenkins has said that wages have been a problem in signing players this month, that wouldn't be a problem with Mkandawire who I'm sure would be keen to step up a League to the Championship.
He'd provide competition to Garry Monk and Ashley Williams who haven't had the best and strongest of starts this year. Our defence looked very weak at Leicester City and the following weekend we conceded three goals at home to Middlesbrough.
Albert Serran is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury so we are lacking replacements at the back.
