Sousa Looking Forward To Bodde Return

After the club rejected an official written bid from Wigan Athletic for Ferrie Bodde, manager Paulo Sousa says he is looking forward to seeing the midfielder return to action.

The 27 year-old has been out of action since November 2008 after suffering a knee injury in a game against Birmingham City. Despite being sidelined for 9 months, both Bolton and Wigan have had bids for Ferrie rejected from our chairman Huw Jenkins.

Sousa insists Bodde is happy and settled at Swansea City, he told Wales Online:

"He`s a player who belongs to us and we want him back playing for us as soon as possible to help us.

"I have said from the start that he has a contract with us and we are looking after him because he can help us and he can improve us.

"And I have seen he is happy here. He is settled here, his family is settled and he wants to stay."

"We do not only think about the club but we also think about the player.

"And the best deal for the player is for him to remain with us.

"He is a Premier League player and he will go there - and I hope it will be with us."

Bodde could return to action with 2-3 weeks, along with fellow midfielder Joe Allen.

We're all looking forward to seeing Bodde back, I wonder what kind of reception he'll get from the fans. If he didn't show a desire to leave he'd get a standing ovation I'm sure. can't wait to see pratley and allen back
