Britton Back But Monk Doubtful

Leon Britton has been given the all-clear and the Swans are hoping to have him available in all 3 remaining games this season.

Leon was expected to have an operation to rectify a hernia problem but physio Richard Evans said:

''We've decided not to go through with the op because Leon's problem has settled down,''

''His symptoms have cleared and we're now going to try to nurse him through to the end of the season.

''We've got three important games before a possible play-off campaign and we hope Leon can feature in all of them.

''I'm quite confident he can come through.

''There might be a little bit of pain towards the end of the game if he plays on Saturday, but hopefully we can manage it.''

Britton saw a specialist last week abuot his injury that has kept him out of the last 2 games over the Easter weekend.

Surgery would have kept him sidelined until next season.

There is also bad news on the injury front though as Garry Monk has sustained a back injury in training and is doubtful for Saturday's trip to Oldham.

No big deal losing Monk as he has been poor and has a slight attitude problem towards us fans .
