Sousa Considering A Move For Webber

Paulo Sousa has confirmed that he is considering making a move to sign former Sheffield United striker Danny Webber.

Speculation grew over the weekend that we were interested in the frontman, who was released from the Blades in the Summer.

Sousa confirmed to the Evening Post:

'Danny Webber is a player we are considering like a few others.'

The Swans boss seems to be stepping up his search for new players with the arrival of Austrian attacker Besian Idrizaj on trial.

Sousa says he could be a part of the squad this season:

'He is someone we expect a lot from and it's possible he will be part of our squad,'

'He is an attacking player, but not a striker.'

the problem is do we want to be bringing in strikers who were released by another team in the same league as us.

I know what your saying James but i don't think this would be a bad signing especially on a free better option than Alan Bloody Lee anyway
