'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sousa: It Just Wasn't Our Day

Paulo Sousa shares his thoughts after watching his side lose 3-0 at home to Middlesbrough this afternoon.

Sousa said:

'When you make small mistakes against teams and players of this quality who have played in the Premier League, it is game over.

'We started well enough but we missed our chances and they hit us on the counter attack.

'The game could have been different but we didn't get the crucial moments right when we created our chances.

'They controlled the rest of the first half and we only had one or two opportunities to score.

'You go down mentally and it's an uphill task from there. It was just not our day.'
