Dobbie Relieved To Get Off The Mark For Swans

Stephen Dobbie said he was relieved to get his first goals of the season for the Swans last night, as we beat Brighton 3-0 in the Carling Cup first round.

The striker, who arrived on a free transfer this Summer from Queen of the South, fired in a second-half brace to give us a comfortable win over the Seagulls.

He told the Official site that it was fantastic to get on the scoresheet and help us to a win:

'To get off the mark like that on my home debut and for the boys to win 3-0 is fantastic,''

'When the first goal went in it was a great feeling; a bit of a relief to be honest. Since April when I knew I was coming down to Swansea it has been playing on my mind a bit.

'But having got off the mark, hopefully I can get a few more for the Swansea fans.

The 26 year-old will now be looking to earn himself a starting place in the League on Saturday as Gorka Pintado played as the lone striker at Leicester City on Saturday.
