Bodde To Stay At Swansea City

The Evening Post are reporting today that Ferrie Bodde is staying at Swansea City, for now anyway.

It looks like Swansea City have fended off interest from Bolton Wanderers this Summer, but the Dutch midfielder may well look to put himself in the show window ahead of the January sales.

"Good news, we need a fit Bodde to strengthen our squad. I'm glad the board didn't weaken their resolve."
We ignored Bolton's final 'take it or leave it' offer of £3.5m, which was well short of our £5m asking price, and after meetings this week with the club and his agent, the Evening Post believe he will stay a Swan for the time being.

The 27 year-old suffered a long-term injury last November as a knee-ligament problem has kept him out of action ever since.

The Dutchman is back in training but it may take him 4-6 weeks before he is up to full fitness to feature in League games.

The news comes has a huge boost to manager Paulo Sousa as he is one of our star players, but he may find he will have to persuade to stay once again when the transfer window opens in January.
