'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sousa Expects New Signings This Week

Paulo Sousa says he expects some new signings at the club within the next few days.

It's what the fans have wanted to hear as some believe we need to strengthen the squad further in certain areas.

The Swansea boss has shown a keen interest over the last few weeks of adding a striker to his team with the likes of Saganowski, Counago and Van Beukering being linked with a move.

Paulo Sousa told the Evening Post that there's been some progress with new signings:

'We have made some progress, and I think in the next few days we will have some new players here.

'How many? I would just say some players.

'I don't want to talk about any players until they are in my squad, but the chairman has made a lot of effort with me to get the right players.

'I hope we can get them in as soon as possible.'

wa about the backroom staff lk. wheres this top european scout and we seem to have alot of injuries so you can only point the finger at the fitness coach!

You can't blame the fitness coach for the injuries, Bodde's, Pratley's, Painter's, were all done last season. The only this season has been Allen and he's due back early. As for the signings, a top striker is needed and maybe a loanee for midfield just to fill the void for a month.

wonder who is coming in

LOL, I can understand why we should keep quiet until they appear, afterall we hardly want to build ourselves up only to be scuppered at the last moment, but yes, I look forward to seeing who 'some players' actually are.
