Butler To Return In 4-6 Weeks

Butler To Return In 4-6 Weeks

Tom Butler says he's looking to return to action in 4-6 weeks after undergoing a hernia operation.

The former Hartlepool winger hasn't featured at all during the Summer because of the injury but he says he'll be looking to impress the new manager as soon as he returns.

Butler told the Official site:

'I could be out for around six weeks, but hopefully I can come back in four,''

'It's not the greatest start to a new season under a new manager, but I wouldn't have done myself any favours if I'd tried to start the season.

'I've spoken to the gaffer (Paulo) and he said he had similar problems when he was playing, so he understands. Also, I don't think I would have done myself any favours if I'd tried to start the season with the groin problem.

'The manager has been fantastic. When you look at his career, you are always going to learn from someone like that and I can't wait to come back and show him what I can do.''

I think we need better players than Butler this season

I concur, he must be way down on the list for first team places.
