Swansea Add Dutch Striker To Targets List

Swansea City have added NEC Nijmegen's Jhon van Beukering to their list of striker targets.

Manager Paulo Sousa says signing a striker is his priority. Ipswich Town forward Pablo Counago and Southampton's Grzegorz Rasiak and Marek Saganowsk have already been linked with a move to the Liberty Stadium.

Jhon van Beukering has emerged has another target for the Swans this week and his club, Dutch Premier League side NEC Nijmegen have been quoted as saying that Swansea will 'elaborate on their interest in the coming days.'

Swansea City will continue or end their interest in van Beukering next week depending on the progress we make with our other targets, as we still haven't given up on Pablo Counago who rejected a move to us last week.

Jhon van Beukering has scored 15 goals in 47 appearances for NEC Nijmegen as well as netting 48 in 90 appearances for his former club De Graafschap.
