Free Travel to Oldham

Swansea City Football Club are offering Swans fans free coach travel to Oldham as thank fans for their excellent support this season.

1,800 or so made the trip to Blackpool on Saturday but they watched their side lose 1-0.

A 'deal' was made between the club and the players this week as they flew to Blackpool. The club would pay for air fare if they could win the two games over the Easter weekend.

With Saturday's defeat, the players will be paying up but the club will spend the money on coach travel, Director David Morgan said:

'This is an apology. We had the best part of 1,800 fans behind us at Blackpool and their Easter was spoiled by the result of the game.

'We realise what an expensive business it is following the team away from home and we hope the offer of free transport to Oldham will soften the blow of our defeat on Saturday.'

The club recently gave free travel to fans for the trip to Port Vale as well as to Wrexham for the FAW Premier Cup final.

Fans wishing to make the trip to Oldham next Saturday (22nd April) must pay a £10 deposit and book at the club shop. The fee will be returned on the coach.

There are a limited number of buses and fans are being urged to book soon to avoid dissapointment.
