Swansea City Target Striker Counago

Swansea City Target Striker Counago

Swansea City are in talks with Ipswich Town striker Pablo Counago about a possible move to the club.

The Championship club, managed by Roy Keane, have accepted an improved offer from the Swans for Counago and he is in talks. Some reports suggest that he could join the squad for this week's Pre-Season Spain Tour.

Counago scored both goals in last season's 2-2 draw against Swansea City in an impressive display.

Last year he scored 11 goals for Ipswich and he has also had spells with Celta Vigo and Malaga. In his first spell at Ipswich, he netted an impressive 31 goals in 51 League starts.

Southampton frontman Marek Saganowski was also linked with a move to the Liberty Stadium but the Evening Post have reported recently that he is not at the top of Sousa's list of targets.
