Swansea Sign López On 2-year Deal

Swansea City have completed the free signing of Spanish midfielder Jordi Lopez on a 2-year deal.

Lopez has held talks with the club over the last few weeks and both Sousa and the player were keen to work with each other again having being colleagues at QPR last season.

The new Swans midfielder said:

"I am happy to sign for Swansea and I am looking forward to the new challenge.

I will take thing step by step and hopefully help Swansea do well at the end of the season.

Paulo played a big part in my decision to accept Swansea's offer and sign the deal. We were together at QPR so I know how he works.

After a difficult year for me, the way he treats his players will help me get back to my best.

I want to get back to the level I reached in Spain and I hope the Swansea fans get to see me at my best."
