Pintado Scores As Swansea Win Friendly 1-0

Paulo Sousa and his squad returned home from the Portugal training camp on the back of a 1-0 win, courtesy of a goal from Gorka Pintado.

The training game was split up into three 30-minute sessions against CD Trofense, who were relegated last season from Portugal's top division.

Fede Bessone, Joe Allen and Scott Evans sat out the game as precautions and assistant boss Bruno Oliveira told the Official Site:

'It was a good game and a good work out for the players,'

'We dominated throughout and it was a good end to our stay in Portugal.'

Swansea City are next in action on Saturday at 3pm as we host Dutch side FC Twente in a pre-season friendly.

Tickets are £10 adults and £5 concessions and can be purchased from the Stadium's ticket office.

Pintado has staked his claim to be first choice striker. Will it be Bauza or Dobbie to partner him?

well done boys !!!!

I don't think 1 goal in a training match stakes his claim to be first choice striker.

Nice one guys. Suffice to say at least the team seem to be playing as a unit in the style we've been striving for by the sounds of it.

Steady on willow, 1 goal in some training game which was a close range tap in I think is hardly worthy of him being our number 1 striker next season! thats crazy
