Swansea City Target Defender Mkandawire

Sky Sports report that Swansea City and Watford are tracking Leyton Orient defender Tamika Mkandawire.

The 26 year-old has proved to be one of best defenders in the lower divisions and a number of scouts watched him last season.

The Malawi-born player began his career at West Brom before joining Hereford in 2004 where he spent 4 years with the League 2 club.

The centre back is one of Orient's best assets and the Swans would have to splash the cash if they wanted to land the defender.

We've also been linked with Alaves right back Inigo Calderon.

met him in a pub in hereford when he played for hereford. we were crap then and he said his agent had asked swansea to have a look at him and swansea said no. This was about 4 years ago. Nice lad. should be playing a higher standard than league 1 and league 2.
