Scotland To Miss Portugal Training Camp

BBC Sport is reporting that star striker Jason Scotland has not flown out to Portugal for a 7-day training camp this week.

Last week there was controversy involving Ferrie Bodde, now it seems that the attention has turned to another player who has attracted interest from Premiership clubs.

"Sounds like he is going to be on his way, you cant stand in his way really."
Bodde missed training last week but that matter seems to have been resolved now with the Swans, but Scotland will not be joining his team-mates in Paulo Sousa's native Portugal. Neither will Bodde, but it's been agreed that he'll stay in Holland to recover from a serious knee injury before reporting back on Sunday 12th July.

This adds doubt to Scotland's future at the club as both Burnley and Wigan are interested in the striker. Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has admitted to BBC Sport that there's been more interest shown by Wigan in the Trinidad and Tobago international. Could his absence means he's staying in the UK to sort out a move to Wigan? Or is he simply having a longer rest/recovery after international duty?

Who knows, but the 30 year-old is eager to move to a higher standard and you can't blame him. He's not getting any younger now and this will be his best chance at playing in the Premier League.

It would be a big blow for us if he was to leave, as he has scored 53 goals in just 2 years in a Swansea shirt.

To Wigan no doubt, oh no RM isnt going to knick our players at all, just wait for a crap bid then swoop in with a realistic one. Hmmmm We so need to get Wigan in a cup draw, and prevent thier silverware.
