Bolton To Make Improved Bid For Bodde

Bolton Wanderers are expected to make an improved bid for Swansea City midfielder Ferrie Bodde.

Gary Megson is not giving up his attempts at signing the Dutchman and will improve on their initial £2.5m offer.

"Why waste their time, it's £5m or nothing."
The Evening Post believe the bid will only rise up to £3m with more money to be paid up front, but it's still going to be close to our £5m valuation.

Yet again, more controversy has arisen involving the 27 year-old as last year he stayed in Holland and missed the start of the pre-season training camp in Sweden.

He was on the verge then of a move to Derby County but he decided to stay with the Swans and signed a new 3-year deal, keeping him at the club until 2011.

New boss Paulo Sousa asked Bodde to attend training on Monday but he didn't appear. Sousa criticised him for being disrespectful but Bodde defended himself, saying it was a misunderstanding with the Swans and that he was expected back on Wednesday instead.

Ferrie has now returned to his native Holland where he will continue his rehabilitation on his knee ligament injury and will report back on July 12th.

Another pointless bid for them
GThomas
Here we go again... 5million or stop bothering us with silly bids.
OriginalXOR
GThomas do you mean another pointless bid from them? Three million for a player who has not kicked a ball in anger since November and the possibility a few quid as extras!! I think you should take the money, he is shytting in his Swans Nest and you should let him move to the Premiership with a forward thinking manager like Megson rather than rot in the Championship with the dross.

They have been told £5m is the release price, why bother?

Bolton are coming back saying why would they bid £5m for a player who hasn't played in months when we're telling them to. no, either pay up, or ***** off and buy someone else. none of you want him anyway. i know who i'd rather play under, Paulo Sousa or Gary megson!? hmm. Bolton long ball crap football that much bore you to death every week
