Swans Looking At Tranmere Defender

Swans Looking At Tranmere Defender

Sky Sports are reporting today that Swansea, Cardiff and Crewe are keeping an eye on Tranmere defender Ian Sharps.

The 25 year-old central defender is out of contract in the summer and is yet to agree new terms at Prenton Park.

A number of scouts have supposedly taken an interest while Swansea have taken on a new scout, Liverpool's youth scout Gwyn James who will work on player recruitment.

Sharps has played for Tranmere ever since he was a trainee in 1998, playing 158 games and scoring 6 goals. He played in every league last season.

Seems like he's a good find and with his experience we would do well to get him .

sign him but we are taking a risk signing a league1 defender in the summer if we promote we need to try and sign championship players who know what its like to play in the championship.
