Reeves Will Be Sadly Missed Says Chairman

Chairman Huw Jenkins says chief scout Kevin Reeves will be sadly missed, as they offered him a new long-term contract to persuade him to stay.

Instead, he followed Roberto Martinez at Wigan Athletic along with the rest of the managerial staff.

Reeves did some fantastic scouting work across Europe, helping us quality bargain buys such as Angel Rangel, Ferrie Bodde and Jason Scotland.

Huw Jenkins told the Evening Post:

'Kevin will be sadly missed,' said chairman

'I cannot really think of a better person to work with in that position and we made every attempt to try to convince him to stay.'

Swansea City finally settled on a compensation fee for Reeves and Jones but Jenkins said he thought neither club was happy with it.
