Carling Cup Round 1 Draw: Brighton & HA (h)

Swansea City have been drawn to play Brighton & Hove Albion at home in the Carling Cup First Round.

The first round ties for the League Cup will be played on week commencing Monday August 10th (likely to be on Tuesday 11th).

Last year we reached the 4th round for the first time, but we lost 1-0 at home to Watford and missed a chance to host Tottenham Hotspur at the Liberty Stadium.

The tie will see the return of former Swan, Kevin McLeod who joined us in February 2005. At his best, he was an excellent left winger and scored some superb goals, including an excellent long-range strike in the 7-1 thrashing against Bristol City.

A lack of discipline and other things I won't go into led to his departure. He joined Colchester United on a free before signing for his current club at the beginning of last season.
