Neither Club Happy With Compensation Fee

Huw Jenkins says neither Wigan or Swansea City are happy with the compensation fee that they agreed on for our entire managerial team.

Roberto Martinez has finally been unveiled as the Latics' new manager today after a long delay as a fee wasn't agreed for Kevin Reeves and Graeme Jones. It finally has been and we can move on and continue our search for a new manager.

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has told the Official site that neither club are happy with the fee they agreed on. We didn't get enough, and Wigan chairman Dave Whelan at first refused to pay anything extra to settle the deal.

'I don't think either club are totally happy with the final compensation figure agreed for the backroom staff,''

'But I think both clubs realise that this matter now needs to be concluded so that we can all move on and prepare for the new season.

'The new fixture list is out on Wednesday and we are determined to be ready for the new Championship campaign when it kicks-off on August 8.

'We are also determined to start the campaign strongly and keep Swansea City moving forward as a football club.''


Victor Chandler have yet again stopped providing odds on who the next manager will be. Earlier they had Gary Speed, Aidy Boothroyd and Gus Poyet as the top 3 favourites.
