Exeter Confident Tisdale Will Stay

Exeter City are confident that Paul Tisdale will stay at St James Park, amid speculation linking him with the vacant Swansea manager's job.

Just like our situation here with Martinez, Tisdale has given his club plenty of early success and it was inevitable that he'd be linked with a move to a bigger club. Exeter will be desperate to keep hold of the 36 year-old, who has won 2 promotions in just 3 years.

The difference though could well be that Tisdale remains loyal to the club that gave him his big chance in Football management, unlike Martinez who is expected to confirm his move to Wigan today.

Exeter City released a club statement:

'It is no secret that Paul Tisdale has attracted, and continues to attract, the attention of clubs from higher divisions.

'Although potential opportunities may be attractive, Paul believes that the opportunity afforded him three years ago by Exeter City Football Club will always be the most important one he has been given.

'Every effort is being made by Exeter City FC to 'grow the business' to enable Paul to continue the significant improvement the team has made recently.

'While Paul believes that this potential growth is viable and being actively pursued by the club he remains committed to developing the team further, as ever continuing to assist with the club's further progression.'

im not so sure. his record is very impressive, only pitfall could be his lack of contacts and knowledge of players at the higher level.
