Jenkins Down To 'Top 10' List

Jenkins Down To 'Top 10' List

After receiving more than 100 applications for the job, Huw Jenkins now says he has cut that down to a 'top 10' short-list.

The Evening Post also say that the new manager will be British, or at least based on Britain.

Jenkins told the Evening Post:

'There are still applications coming in, but I'd say we're down to a top 10 now,'

'We are well aware of the need to get things settled again as soon as we can and ideally we'll have some positive news by Friday.'

After suspending the betting yesterday afternoon for apparently big bets on Aidy Boothroyd and Paul Tisdale, Victor Chandler have now re-opened the betting and Martinez's assistant Graeme Jones is still favourite at 6/4. Boothroyd's odds have shortened and he's now third favourite at 13/2, just behind Gary Speed and Paul Tisdale at 6/1.

Fair play Huw, he's the only one who's come out of this farce with any dignity

I'm starting to think that fans should really worry about SCAFC only if Huw would decide to quit the job. The man's doing a terrific job as chairman. He has brought Martinez and it was a success despite a lot of pesimism. I'm fully confident now that he's gonna bring a replacement quality enough.

And me CJ, the last 2 choices brought success and the same will happen again. Jackett got us promoted out of League 2, Martinez got us promoted out of League 1. There's a trend to follow there now for the new manager!

Huw Jenkins is the "unsung hero" of Swansea City. The players get the plaudits, but he is Mr. Swansea with backing from his Directors.
