Good Football A 'Priority' In New Manager Search
Huw Jenkins says it is a 'priority' that Swansea City continue to play attractive football under their new manager next season.
Roberto Martinez, who's expected to complete his move to Wigan Athletic tomorrow, got the Swans playing a unique and exciting style of football that was a joy to watch. The free-flowing passing game saw us receive a lot of recognition and praise from opposition, managers, pundits and the media.
Chairman Huw Jenkins says it's vital that the team continue to play in a similar way as he continues his search for a new manager this week.
He told Wales Online:
"That`s a priority,"
"We want to make sure Swansea City are still going to be renowned for good football.
"I think we should keep that at the club as much as we can and get the right person in to complement that.
"There`s no front-runner yet. Some candidates have been in the game a long time, some haven`t.
"There`s a lot of wide-ranging applications and, to be fair, this is going to be the hardest decision the board has to make.
"I think all our minds are quite open to try and find the right man for the job. We will explore all avenues and speak to as many people as we can and we will take things from there."
