14% Wish Martinez All The Best At Wigan

The majority of Swansea City fans feel annoyed and let down by Martinez after he decided to leave and join Wigan Athletic.

In a recent site poll, we asked for your reaction to his departure, only 14% voted that they wish him all the best at Wigan, the rest voted they were annoyed that he didn't live up to his loyal words.

The 35 year-old has made his departure far worse with his silence and not explaining to the fans for his reasons for going. He often spoke about how important it was that the players he signed wanted to play for the Swans, but yet Martinez has gone against all those principles. The quote 'I was forced out as a player, I'd have to be forced out as a manager' angers fans the most though, which now proves to be a complete lie.

The Spaniard criticised the likes of Andy Robinson and Lee Trundle for their lack of loyalty to Swansea City and yet he's done the exact same thing.

Roberto's departure has seen plenty of discussion on the forums and the vast majority regard him as a traitor and a Judas.

One thing we can't criticise him for is his excellent managerial skill and the success he has given us in his 2-year spell. But his loyal words proved to be completely false, and most of us were proved wrong believing he was completely to a club we thought he loved.

We must move on now and recruit a new manager who can continue our success in the Championship.

Our new poll asks who your number 1 choice would be to take over. Falkirk's John Hughes, Swansea-born John Hartson and Chris Coleman along with Gary Speed and Dean Saunders are just a few of the names being linked with the job.

I don't wish him all the best at all, I respect those individuals who respect us back, not talk all of this ***** trying to win the fans over. A total hypocrite. I'd love to face them in the FA Cup and knock them out.
