Rangel Could Join Martinez At Wigan Athletic

Full back Angel Rangel could follow Martinez to Wigan Athletic, the Daily Mirror reports.

The defender has caught the eye of a number of clubs who have shown a keen interest in the Spaniard.

Roberto Martinez will soon complete his move to Wigan Athletic and he is believed to be interested in taking Angel Rangel with him.

Also likely to depart the club are his assistant Graeme Jones and chief scout Kevin Reeves.

Martinez said last month that 'his players' would cost 'millions' and I'm sure Huw Jenkins would hold out for 2-3million for Rangel.

Roberto is also likely to make a move for Espanyol midfielder Jordi Gomez, who impressed during his season-long loan with us last season.

Dont believe this, we already have TWO right backs, Mario Melchiot club captain and absolute class, Emerson Boyce steady as a rock and in the process of signing a contract extension, so why sign another? Just media spec and getting teed off with it

It wouldn't surprise me if Martinez made a bid to sign Rangel

I really hope he doesn't bother and i'm glad you've got good right backs. I'd rather him get Gomez because he won't be joining us now anyway

Melchiot is reviewing his future and Boyce has been in contract negotiations for over 12 months with both sides still far apart so sadly for Swansea I think that the report is credible
