New Manager Search Begins Today

New Manager Search Begins Today

Swansea City will be hoping to bring in a new manager within a week following Roberto Martinez's switch to Wigan Athletic.

Swans fans have been left stunned and angered with the Spaniard's move to the JJB Stadium but we now need to move on and bring in someone to prepare us for the season ahead.

Falkirk boss John Hughes has been linked with the job, you can read our article here

Gary Speed a former Welsh international who's currently in a coaching role at Sheffield United, has also been linked but he recently told BBC Sport:

'I wouldn't want to talk about anything else while Roberto Martinez is still the manager.'

'[Sheffield United manager] Kevin Blackwell has brought me into the fold and I've learnt a lot off him as a coach and it's been a great experience for me learning the ropes,'

Other names that have been mentioned are former Reading boss Steve Coppell, Jordi Cruyff - assistant manager at Valetta, Juan Lillo who has left Real Sociedad, Bury manager Alan Knill and Jimmy Gilligan.

"I have my doubts about Chris Coleman being here. What helps him though is that he's a true jack but he hasn't done brilliantly at Coventry."

HJ now needs to make sure that he takes his time to pick a manager who can make his mark on the team (hopefully a posistive one ) but we dont want to be to patient and be rushing before the season starts come on huw find another gem you obviously have the eye for it.

We can't take too long, HJ needs to work his arse off getting people in for interviews and talks and we need one in soon to prepare for the new season.
