Wotte: 'We're Closer To Selling Dyer'
Southampton boss Mark Wotte says they have moved a step closer to selling Nathan Dyer to Swansea City.
Last week the Dutchman said he was annoyed with the Swans for going back on their word - for lowering their initial bid for the winger.
Swansea City still need to make an improved bid to sign their man, but Wotte admits they are closer to selling Dyer:
'Nathan Dyer is still waiting to see what Swansea decide to do and we are waiting for their Chairman to make a better offer, but we are getting closer,' said the Dutchman.
'If Swansea really want Nathan then they have to improve their original offer and then perhaps we can complete a deal.
He has told me that he really wants to stay there, so if Swansea can come up with the money then he will go and I can accept that.'
'We are not desperate because we are still negotiating a better future for our football club,'
'I think some clubs are trying just to pick up our players for a bargain and we are not prepared to let that happen.
