Swansea's Anderson Bid Accepted

Premiership side Liverpool have accepted Swansea City's 6-figure bid for Paul Anderson.

Roberto Martinez has shown an interest in bringing the 20 year-old back to the Liberty Stadium after a successful loan spell in the 2007/2008 season.

The flying winger declined the chance to continue his loan at the Liberty Stadium the following year and opted to join Nottingham Forest instead.

Forest boss Billy Davies wants to keep Anderson at the club permanently but the Swans have moved quickly with a bid and look like favourites to sign him.

Huw Jenkins told the official site though that personal terms are yet to be agreed:

'We have had a six-figure sum with Liverpool accepted,''

'But I must stress that Paul is one of a number of options we are pursuing.

'Roberto has highlighted a number of players he is interested in and we have been pursuing them while he has been away scouting various players in various countries.

'The offer has been accepted by Liverpool, but it is still subject to us agreeing personal terms and Roberto sitting down with the player for further talks.

'Whoever we sign, we want players who want to play for Roberto and Swansea City. That attitude is vital - however good they are.''

Best news i've heard since Dobbie signed! i hope he makes the right choice now and returns to us.

I really rated Anderson when he was with us on loan. If it was a choice between him and Dyer, i'd go with Anderson with his consistency. Either way though both players bring us pace out on the wings which is what we need at championship level. good to see the dust being blown off the cheque book a little bit!

Missed lots of games last season because of injuries. Hope he is thoroughly fit.
