Jenkins Laughs Off £4m Bid Claims

Jenkins Laughs Off £4m Bid Claims

Huw Jenkins has laughed off reports that the club has made a £4m bid for Hamilton youngster James McCarthy.

Real Radio yesterday reported that Swansea City's bid for the promising youngster was 5 times more than Celtic's - which was thought to be around £800,000.

But most of us would know how the club works in terms of transfer fees and player wages and realise we couldn't even afford to bid half of that value on a single player.

Despite denying claims of a £4m bid, the Swans have still made a much smaller bid for the 18 year-old.

Huw Jenkins told the Evening Post:

'I thought April Fool's Day was last month,'

'This is fantasy football.'
