Dennis Lawrence is keen to stay at Crewe Alexandra permanently, says his agent Mike Berry.
The centre back was recently released by Swansea City having spent 6 months on loan with the relegated League One club.
The Trinidad and Tobago defender was a regular in the Swansea defence in their 2007/08 League One title-winning season but he wasn't in Martinez's team plans for the following year in the Championship.
Mike Berry said:
'Crewe have been in contact to have a chat and Dennis is very keen to join the club because he enjoyed his time there.
'We talked about a contract and they said they would come back to us within the next week.'
'I would say Crewe have first refusal on him. The ball is now in their court.'
6 other out of contract players at Swansea City are waiting to see where their future lies - Owain Tudur-Jones, Kristian O'Leary, Andrea Orlandi, Matty Collins and Dorus De Vries.![]()
