'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dobbie - 'I'm Going To An Amazing Club'

Stephen Dobbie is excited by his free transfer to an 'amazing club in Swansea'.

The 26 year-old Queen of the South striker enjoyed a fantastic goalscoring record with the Scottish First Division club, averaging a goal every 2 games during his 2 year spell, and he is looking to continue that form at the Liberty Stadium.

Dobbie will again join Jason Scotland in the same side, as they both played for St Johnstone 3 years ago.

The striker told BBC Sport:

'I've scored 24 goals this year and hopefully I can show the [Swansea] fans what I'm all about,'

'Hopefully I will get my first goal soon and get the ball rolling.'

'We've been through a rollercoaster here with a [Scottish] Cup final and playing in Europe [this season], but I've got to move on and I'm going to an amazing club in Swansea.

'It's going to be a great challenge for me.

They play quite a lot of attacking football and that will suit me.

'Hopefully I can give them movement up front and shoot from all different angles. I think I would fit in. I'm looking forward to it.'

Dobbie joins the Swans on a free transfer as his contract expires next month at Queens and will put pen to paper on a 3-year deal.
