Dobbie 'One Of The Most Gifted In Scotland'

Queen of the South manager Gordon Chisholm has hailed Stephen Dobbie as one of the most gifted players in Scotland.

The 26 year-old has agreed to sign a 3-year deal with Swansea City once his contract at the Scottish Division 1 side comes to an end next month.

The striker is a doubt for their final game of the season today at Livingston but I'm sure he'll be hoping to play and leave the club on a high.

Chisholm told BBC Sport:

"I`m disappointed for the club, but pleased for the boy.

"He`s been fantastic for me, the club and the support and I wish him all the best. He`s earned a move to the Championship and rightly so.

"For me, he`s one of the most gifted players in Scotland and now he`s got his attitude right. The penny`s dropped, he realised the ability thing wasn`t going to get him anywhere he had to combine both.

"And he wanted the move down south and now he`s got it and has signed a good contract."

"I will be honest, he is quite emotional. He actually told me that he would not play for anyone else in the first division."

Dobbie has proved to be a massive hit in the Scottish First Division, scoring 47 goals in 83 games for Queen of the South.

can't wait to see this guy in action and see what he's made of.

An average of just over 1 goal per 2 games is very good. If he does the same for us, then, he will soon be a favourite with the fans.

it took longer for scotland to be a fans favourite even though he's scored all those goals. i dont think it'll take dobbie as long, he's not as lazy as scotland.
