Reeves Excited With Possible Summer Signings

Reeves Excited With Possible Summer Signings

Chief scout Kevin Reeves says he's excited about the players the Swans could be signing in the Summer.

Reeves' hard work and scouting ability has meant we've been able to sign quality players like Ferrie Bodde, Angel Rangel and Jason Scotland for low 5-figure transfer fees.

Reeves told Wales Online that he's been watching a lot of Segunda games in Spain, the League equivalent to the Championship.

"I`m very excited about the players that could come here this summer,"

"I think there`s some that can do a really good job for us.

"Every year it gets more difficult because the quality of the squad is really good.

"The gems are still out there though and you can still find a player at lower league level, someone like Angel at Terrassa.

"The difference this season is that I am watching a lot more Segunda games, the Spanish equivalent of the Championship.

"The standards have had to go up and the budget has increased a bit too.

"We still don`t have much to work with compared to the other teams in the Championship.

"But I see that as a bit of a challenge and I don`t mind that side of it at all.

"I really enjoy the job and for me there`s nothing quite like the kick I get from finding a player and thinking they will come here and do well. That`s how I get my buzz."

Reeves also added that his wife's job with easyjet helps with the air travel and costs:

"My wife`s work means I get great deals going to watch all these games,"

She books all the flights which means we get some really cheap deals and that keeps the costs down for the club."
