Martinez: My Players Will Cost You Millions

Roberto Martinez has warned fellow clubs that his players would cost millions if they wanted to buy any of them in the Summer.

The likes of Jason Scotland, Angel Rangel and Darren Pratley have all recently been linked with transfer moves.

Middlesbrough are apparently lining up a £2.5m bid for Scotland, while Blackburn, Manchester City and Celtic are targeting right back Angel Rangel.

QPR have also been told by the Swans that Darren Pratley is not for sale.

Martinez values each of his star players in the millions, as he compares them with other inflated transfer fees in the British game, he told the Evening Post:

'What is Jason Scotland worth? You just have to look at other players who are moving around,'

'It is not easy to find a player capable of scoring 24 goals in the Championship and we all know how much he is worth.

'It would take millions of pounds to buy any of the players people are talking about because every one of them has become a big asset to this club.

'But that's not the way we are looking at it. We are not in a position where we have to sell players to balance the books and we don't want any of them to go.'

'I'm proud to be able to say that I don't have to put values on any one of our players.'
