Martinez Looking To Sign Up To 6 Players

Martinez Looking To Sign Up To 6 Players

Roberto Martinez says he needs to sign 'at least 4, 5 or 6 players' in the Summer transfer window.

2 of those 6 signings could be Queen of the South striker Stephen Dobbie and former Hearts winger Saulius Mikoliunas.

Stephen Dobbie could sign a pre-contract agreement as early as today while Mikoliunas visited the Liberty Stadium on the weekend and met with club officials over a possible move.

Meanwhile, veteran centre back Dennis Lawrence has been released by the club after spending the season on loan with Crewe, who were relegated to League Two this season.

Martinez told the Evening Post:

'We are not going to make any drastic changes because that is not our style,'

'We do things progressively and I feel we have improved in every transfer window over the last couple of years.

'I believe we need at least four, five or six players in certain areas to give us a different dimension in our play.'

The Swansea boss seems to be wasting no time in looking for new players, and 2 could agree to join us this week.
