Tate & Trundle Arrested

Tate & Trundle Arrested

Lee Trundle and Alan Tate have been arrested as well as charged by the FAW following their actions after the Football League Trophy win on Sunday.

The FAW have launched an investigation about their antics, which involved Trundle wearing a t-shirt showing a cartoon of a person urinating on a blue Cardiff shirt and both Tate and Trundle holding up a welsh flag which read 'F*** Off Cardiff'.

'The Football Association of Wales has concluded that charges will be issued against Swansea City FC and two of their players Lee Trundle and Alan Tate,' said an FAW statement issued by secretary general David Collins.

The club have said they will not punish the players involved with fines and Jackett said: "I don't think they realised what they were doing. It's something both Lee and Alan did in the heat of the moment and, if they have caused any offence, it's something they regret.

"But they will not be disciplined by the club because I felt it was a spur-of-the-moment situation."

Following the two cup wins, Kenny Jackett and the team can now focus totally on gaining promotion to the Championship and the Swansea boss has received a boost with the news that Keith Lowe's loan has been extended until the end of the season.

Thanks to the Football Association of WALES we could lose 2 players that have played a big part in our season so far.

You can not condone what they did. It was incitement, that's what the police will be looking into. The thing is, if it's one of your players, great, he's one of the lads and loves the club. But if you are from the opposition then something like this is really going to wind you up. The worst thing that there is no love lost between Swansea and Cardiff and this won't help.

Don't see how Trundle and Tate could relate to the rivalry. Not really. Innocents. Boys will be boys. Cardiff getting worried. They know what it's like to be second best. SCFC the last top flight team in Wales. CCFC will do anything to stop this happening again.
