Bolton No Longer Interested In Bodde

Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson says he is no longer looking to sign Dutch midfielder Ferrie Bodde.

His knee injury, which has seen him sit out the season since November means Megson is no longer looking at signing Bodde.

Megson told the Bolton News:

We had an interest in him but he was unfortunate enough to pick up a really bad injury,"

"I think people have put two and two together from there with the recent stuff."

Bodde has proved to be one of most influential and best players but his injury during a home defeat against Birmingham ended his season prematurely.

Last Summer he was the subject of a £2m move to Derby but in the end he decided it was best to stay in South Wales.

His injury has meant he's not been in the 'shop window' so much and hasn't had the chance to continue to impress Premiership managers.

The likes of Angel Rangel, Jordi Gomez and Jason Scotland have been rumoured and linked with moves to Premiership sides, and Bodde is likely to receive interest as well at the end of the season.

He is a lucky lad, he could have been playing under Megson if he had moved to Bolton which would have taken him nowhere.

i agree, he just would have watched the ball fly over his head all the time in megson's side. i think his injury could be a good thing for us, less teams interested now.

He is lucky only cos Megson would leave him on the bench to play the likes of Gavin McCann (awful). Meggo signs players and then doesnt play them or maybe giving them one chance as a sub and using a poor performance to justify not picking them again.
