Johnson: It Wasn't A Fair Result

Bristol City boss Gary Johnson believed today's 1-0 scoreline didn't reflect the game today as his side lost 1-0 at Swansea City.

"Yet another visiting whinging manager, he's lucky he didn't lose 3-0"
Garry Monk got the winner after 32 minutes and it was enough to give us our 3rd consecutive victory - keeping our play-off hopes alive.

Johnson believed his side matched the Swans and was disappointed in the way they conceded the winning goal:

'It wasn't a fair result and I am very disappointed as I felt they won the game through a defensive mistake.

'We had opportunities to score but were not clinical enough in the final third.

'Swansea must believe that they can get into the play-offs but it was a very even game and they scored the vital goal.'

'I thought the lads worked hard. There have been occasions where we've asked for more from them, but today we couldn't have any complaints.

'We matched their shape, kept the ball and created opportunities without really forcing their keeper to make many saves.

'The difference was in both penalty areas and that's been the story for a little while now. We know what we've got to improve - it's been highlighted for us in the last few games.'

It would have been a fair result had Scotland scored when one on one with the keeper. The chances created deserved at least a 2-0 score.
